Urgent needs: Professional Photographer to capture Awaken photos for use in the media Media Savvy peeps to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram about Awaken!
Production Team: Helps with set up and break down of the event, such as loading in and out of sound equipment and assisting the Worship and Environment teams with any set up or take down needs.
Audio Visual Team: Helps run the AV equipment the night of the event, such as sound, lighting and display of worship lyrics. We are also in need of people to work behind the scenes in advance of the events to update power point slides, as necessary. Generally it is the tech savvy person who is drawn to this role, but we do provide training!
Prayer Team: Prayer is an essential part of all we do! The prayer team prays daily for the specific needs of our ministry and it's overall protection, and prays during the Awaken Night for all those in attendance, the band, the speaker, the staff and all the volunteers. If you are a prayer warrior, please consider this vital role!
Hospitality Team: Helps make everyone who walks in the door feel welcome! This includes greeting people at the door, answering general questions about the ministry, giving out information about upcoming events, leading people into the worship space, and assisting people who might need help getting in and out of the building with walkers or wheelchairs.
Ministry Team: Often times God swells at the core of the worshipper's heart and they may need someone to listen to them or pray with them. We are currently forming this team, which will provide one-on-one prayer and relational ministry. These people are chosen for this ministry because of their spiritual maturity and experience with intercessory prayer, and are formed by our leadership team in our mission and vision.
Publicity Team: Helps get out the word about Awaken in the broader community in every way possible: word of mouth, advertising in various publications, on-line outlets, at the parish level, schools, college campus ministries, Twitter, Facebook, etc. These folks are always looking for new and creative ways to tell people about Awaken!
Fundraising Team: Awaken requires funds to keep us operational and effective in our ministry, and in order to reach people in a new and inspiring way! There is no paid staff on this ministry and we are not affiliated with any parish. Awaken relies totally on the power of the Holy Spirit, through donations, to keep this ministry going! There is lighting and sound equipment, speaker fees, marketing materials, food for hospitality, video production, the many candles, luminaries, batteries, and on and on. If you are a person who enjoys coming up with fun and creative ways to raise funds, we would love to have you on this team!
